My First Sale

This is my very first sale. One of my co-workers commissioned me to make a stocking for his niece, (actually it was his sweet wife Becky, thank you Becky!!. She wanted a stocking that a gift card would easily slip into. So I made this for them and added my extra personal touch...
I cut a tag and gift card holder out of glitter paper and packaged it in this cute festive wrapping. It was a hit.

The whirlwind of getting ready for Christmas

Every year, I say it will be different this year...I will start getting ready much sooner, I will be less stressed, I'm not going to sweat the small stuff. Guess what??? This year is no different than past years. My shopping is basically done and I have purchased most of the materials for my "Handmade Christmas", (I am really striving to make most of my gifts or at least have some handmade element to them). Many things are finished but my list of things to do is still pretty long. Part of my problem is Pinterest. I LUV me some Pinterest. Holy smokes the things that you can find on there. Luv, luv, luv it. And speaking of that here is a little Holiday Project that my Daugher in Law, Chelyse and I made.
Cute right?? Totally copied from Pinterest.
Here are some other things I made yesterday. I have an awesome Embroidery Machine that I just love. It allows me to do "in the hoop" projects.
Really professional results can be obtained by doing projects in the hoop.
These are for The Mr. and myself. Mine is of course a wine theme, ;-), his is a hunting theme.
And then I had to make several for the peeps at work, we'll use these for our Christmas office decorations.

I was commissioned to make one for a teammates niece to use as a gift card holder. I'll post that later, I want you to see the entire package. This is after all my first "sell". I've got to make it great!!
